Sand at Boy Scout Ridge and Mystery Quilting

Seven weeks after Kevin’s knee issue, we headed out on a backpack.  (note:  This week, he had an MRI on the knee and was told he has several tears (MCL, ACL) and a hairline fracture.  He gets a brace, but no surgery yet.)

Boy Scout Ridge was our destination ~~ again.  This time, we knew the wind was going to pick up, but didni’t count on the sand coming through our tent screen and hitting us in the face or the accumulated sand dropping on our faces when we moved in our sleeping bags.  Regardless, last night was beautiful and we were on the trail, with headlamps, by 5:15 this morning.

I was amazed at how huge the Big Dipper was in this photo.

This is some of the sand this morning in our tent.

I’m down to quilting the background on the mystery quilt.

I’m glad you were able to be back out on the mt. again. I hope Kevin’s knee continues to heal so you can continue to hike the hills.
