Fall Leaf Quilt and USMC Birthday

My sister-in-law, Vicki, loves the fall.  Using what I had here (She sent some a while back) and adding only a background, here is the quilt she received over the weekend.  It measures 60″ x 60″.  The pattern is Chai Tea from this book.  I quilted it with a pantograph called Frolicking Ferns.

Vicki lives near Yosemite and never has even a few leaves in her yard, so this quilt had to soak up all the “fallness” it could in my yard.

Happy Birthday to the USMC today!  We are especially proud of our son, Charles, and his seven years of service with the USMC.

Amazing how picture #2 just blends in with the leaves in your yard..

I love the way the quilt almost disappears in the leaves!

The quilt is beautiful, but I particularly like your photos! I’ve been following your blog for a while, and you’re prolific!
