Paper Hearts Quilt Bound on Way to Mt. Hood

From the book, “Sew Red“, I made Tula Pink’s Paper Hearts quilt for my friend whose birthday is just before Valentine’s Day (Yes, Elizabeth, it’s for you!).

Paper heart quilt_edited-1Kevin and I spent last night on Boy Scout Ridge again.  In our opinion, it’s the most incredible view of the mountain ~~ and we’ve hiked the entire way around it.

Boy Scout Ridge PanoramaThere was a little log that I sat on while preparing meals.

Cooking in the darkThe lights on the left of Mt. Hood are climbers.  We watched the climbers summit early this morning.  I googled “Who summitted Mt. Hood on 1/26/14 and located the guy whose headlight is second from the top by the time the photo was taken and his location on the ascent.  Pretty cool in my mind, but creepy in my son’s.  The climber was happy to get the photograph.

Tent nighttime… shimmering snow!
