Summer Sampler (mini) Sew Along

Ellison Lane hosted a paper piecing sew along.  Man was it tough and put me in a not-so-good mood.  Waiting until the end to piece a bunch wasn’t the best idea and redoing two didn’t help matters.  I made two samplers.  One will be bound on the plane to the east coast and given away to some lucky family member.

Kevin was capturing insect photos today.  He calls the first one a dirty faced bee.

Lovely, whimsical! And the back is perfect…I’ve never known you to do anything poorly under pressure …

Wow….how nice….my quilting teacher loves paper piecing but I haven’t tried it and if it’s hard for YOU I may never attempt it!!! Do you hand sew the binding on ALL your quilts? Where is the fabric from on the back? It is soooo cute! No way you can sneak over to central Louisiana while you’re out here huh? susan

Susan, It wasn’t hard, just a lot of pieces got confusing. Yes, I hand piece all my quilt bindings. Not sure where the fabric on the back came from, but it must have been a good sale. It may have been an Alexander Henry print?
