Moda “Circa 1934” Triangle Quilt

My dad wanted a new quilt, so I used Moda’s Circa 1934 fabric line since he was born in 1934.  The inspiration came from Joyce Dean Gieszler of Now and Then Quilts (totally her idea and arrangement of triangles)  It measures 70″ x 90″ and is quilted with Square Spiral by Keryn Emmerson using gold thread.

I didn’t have enough of the black check, so I inserted a selvage piece and love it!

The back..  It’s actually a dark grey at the bottom.

The one piece of selvage is perfect! Makes it really your creation, unique.

How did you sew the triangles together and keep the points?

I used the Marti Michell Quilt Template Large 60 Degree Triangle Ruler and offset the triangles just a tad. Mary Ellen’s Best Press spray was most helpful.
