Finishing at 74″ square is another collaboration between my mom and me. She hand pieced the stars for her grandson a few years ago and I completed it for his college graduation from Eastern Kentucky this weekend. Not to sound bitter, but why would his graduation be at the exact time as the Kentucky Derby? Six of us siblings and a bunch of his cousins will be traveling to be with him for this special day.
The red bled a lot, so I washed it in Retayne and it has more of a worn, squishy look now.
