Valentines Mini Quilts Again

Off to the mailbox with a few items…

… and I found a tutorial that I wanted to try http://terristegmiller.com/pdf/valentine_quilt.pdf . Instead of using the batting as a backing, I used a piece of fabric.  At the end, it was hard to quilt and keep the edges from folding into the walking foot, so I watered down Elmer’s Glue and applied it all over with a paintbrush, let them dry and quilted the two.  They are now in the washer and I’ll trim and bind them after they dry.  My recommendation would be to cut 1.5″ squares, dip them in watered down glue and set them on a backing.  These 12″ x 12″ quilts are quite fast to whip up.
