800″ of Binding = Three Finished Quilts

First up is my Karla Alexander class finish.  It is titled, “12% Organic“.  In choosing the fabric, we picked out a great border print.  AFTER having the 18 quarter yard pieces cut, I noticed the beautiful Amy Butler border fabric was $21.99/yard.  Oh My!!!  It measures 80” square.

Next up is a scrap quilt that has taken nearly a year to finish.  Nothing new was purchased for it.  This quilt measures 60″ x 70″.

The final weekend finish is something I saw at http://www.stitchindye.blogspot.com and love!  42″ x 42″. She has directions at http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/2011/04/free-fish-baby-log-cabin-pdf-pattern-malka-from-a-stitch-in-dye/

The last one looks like a big old bullseye! Have you ever spent that much on a fabric before? How much did it take for the border? And, how many quilt pieces in the scrap quilt.

1.25 yards of the organic fabric and ONLY because we had the 18 quarter yard cuts already. Never have I spent even half that much on a yard of fabric. Luckily, the other two cost me nothing except batting.

Your Karla Alexander quilt came out beautiful. I haven’t started putting mine together yet, will probably have to wait until after Christmas. I LOVE YOURS and can hardly wait to get mine finished.

The Rebels quilt is beautiful as wel. I love how you did it.
