Birds of a Feather

It’s six months since my mom died and today I finished our “Birds of a Feather” quilt.  Ours because it’s Mom’s fabric,  my work and her love of a good mystery.  My sister, Donna, named it for our love of quilting and because it has birds in the fabric.

Joyce from our guild put on the mystery class and created the pattern.  It was fun and I can’t wait until the next one.

And three more finishes for our Fall Festival.  I actually have three Halloween toppers and three Advent “Modern Crosses”, but only two of each are finished.  The flower power is left-overs from Joanne’s quilt.

Love the big quilt, your Mom would be proud!…could you get a close up picture of the background material? And the flower table runner is gorgeous! When I think of quilts I don’t think of pieces like that.

Love your finished quilt… and I have already designed the next mystery. We’ll hold the class in May 2012. Yippee!
