Rest in Peace, Mom

My most beautiful mother left us the first day of spring.  She was 76 years old and taught all of us girls to quilt and sew.  Her final gift was the donation of her temporal bone to medical research at Johns Hopkins.

The altar before Mass.

My brother constructed the box for my Mom’s remains.

I was able to create the “pall” used to cover Mom’s remains.  In the Catholic Church, the white symbolizes her new life in Christ as did the white of Baptism.
