Finished this week are a Dahlia foundation pieced quilt that just needs to be bound and the label sewn on. This is a 2007 Christmas gift from my husband and son.
This is a quilt my brother had his eye on in American Patchwork and Quilting http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/projects-ideas/decorating/hooray-red-white-blue_ss8.html and I finished it for him. The label is ready and just needs to be sewn on. I used the “Star Swirl” panto with a variegated King Tut blue thread.
Here is a little ditty I made for my mom. I was careful to use special selvage words like “beautiful”, “Joanne”, “A mother’s wish” along with other fun ones. Her trademark is a snail, so I know she’ll like this. http://www.selvageblog.blogspot.com/ gets credit for her great website and book!

AnnMarie! I love the dahlia quilt! I think one of my favorites now. Will it be added to the stack in the closet? Hmmm???

I was thinking of using it somewhere, maybe on a bed in a diamond shape? And, I don’t think I have added to that pile of quilts since you saw it last, but then again it’s winter and they are scattered throughout the house.
