Finishing at 36″ x 56″ is my “Emerald City” quilt. My son came up with the idea of using the Wizard of Oz theme and after a few ideas, I settled on this house theme. I love my tree and heart quilts that I’ve completed and thought the houses would work as well. The words were to go on the front, but that didn’t look good, so to the back they went. The ruby slippers are machine appliqued and add the finishing touch. Here are photos we took this weekend near Mt. Hood. The last stitch of binding was sewn as we pulled into the snow park.
