Wildwood Trail in Forest Park
June 30, 2008800 meters as a Senior
June 29, 2008My husband ran his first meet of the season today. He is now a “senior” in the 50 – 54 age group. It’s a hot day here in the 90’s and he ran a 2:26 800 meters. Pretty good I’d say! He has timeto get his time down before the UST&F Master’s Meet in Spokane mid August. Here he is in third place on the back stretch. They ran all 40 – 59 year olds together.
Here he is finishing the first lap.
Eagle Project cont.
June 28, 2008This week, my husband and son went out to the lake to get the last plank on the tables for the Eagle Project. This was the plank that vandals threw into the lake.

As a thank you to the ranger, I made up this small journal art quilt. It is about 12″ square. My husband said he was very touched. The picture was taken by a fellow Scout dad.

June 15, 2008Eagle Project coming to a close…
June 9, 2008Saturday was another long day working on my son’s Eagle Scout project. We were at the lake from 9 – 6 and 130 hours were put in by our friends and fellow scouts. Four tables were reassembled. To do this, many of the posts needed to be dug out and replaced. Three tables were at the end of one trail and another around the lake. Two of the planks for that table were thrown in the lake by vandals ~~ one was retrieved and one remains somewhere in Hagg Lake. We left Saturday with the tables primed where paint needs to be touched up. Sunday he and my husband went out to paint, but two of the tables were in use, so I’ll go out later this week with my daycare children on a “painting” field trip.

Quilt for an Hour ~~ Quilted
June 8, 2008I finished quilting my http://www.patchworktimes.com/ Quilt for an Hour project. I am happy with it, but still need to be more confident with feathers. Practice and more practice will help! Now, to bind it with the navy blue batik that is the same as one of the stars. This was a fun project and I look forward to the next! Thanks Judy!
